Catarina Oliveira has a degree in Contemporary Art and has worked as a curator, stage photographer, tour guide and workshop lead in museums. She worked in the independent film sector as Head of Distribution (Leopardo Filmes, Portugal) and has been involved in sales, programming and curation for festivals (Lisbon & Sintra Film Festival) and film exhibition (Medeia Filmes, Portugal). Catarina is currently based in Berlin, working in legal and business affairs for The Match Factory. She was part of the Next Wave Programme at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB), and the Sundance Collab Course for Short Film Screenwriting. She maintains an artistic practice, being passionate about the moving image.
